The Islamic economy space is shifting its focus towards social development where governments and business is striving to develop a fairer and more equal economic model that drives innovative solutions and technology.This year's event will focus on three dimensions: Leadership, Social development, Innovation.
Now in its fourth year, the Islamic Economy award recognizes innovative world-class business initiatives and ideas that have contributed to the social and economic welfare of the Muslim population. These initiatives and ideas must prove to enhance bilateral trade and investment relations between Islamic nations and forge closer economic ties with the rest of the world towards fostering prosperity, harmony and well-being for all.
The Turin Islamic Economic Forum is a project shared by the Municipality of Torino, the Chamber of Commerce of Torino, the University of Torino and ASSAIF to promote effective initiatives on Islamic Finance for social inclusion and economic development of the territory. A two-day event to share ideas, learn from outstanding international best practices and examine new trends in Islamic Finance.
It will focus on the use of Islamic finance to trigger processes of social inclusion and to foster economic development and internationalisation of local SMEs, particularly in the field of renewable energies, biotechnology and aerospace, with insights and updates on the evolution of the national law on fiscal neutrality.
