The Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) reported this Wednesday (07) that Brazil exported 366,300 tons of poultry in October, a 0.4% increase over the same month of last year. However, revenues dropped 8.3% in the same comparison to USD 578.5 million.

From January to October, the country shipped out 3.4 million tons, down 6.7% over the same period of 2017. Foreign sales generated USD 5.4 billion, down 11.2% in the same comparison.

“Exports average registered throughout the second half, of 397,00 tons per month, surpassed by over 8% the performance of last year, which confirms the perspective of recovery pointed out by ABPA for 2018,” said in a statement the association’s president, Francisco Turra.
