Indonesia to issue imports permit for 50,000 T Brazilian beef - minister

JAKARTA, Aug 14 (Reuters) -

* Indonesia to issue import permits for 50,000 tonnes of frozen beef from Brazil through the end of the year, Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita told reporters on Wednesday

* The permits will be issued to state food procurement agency Bulog for 30,000 tonnes, state companies PT Berdikari for 10,000 tonnes and PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia for 10,000 tonnes, Lukita said

* Imports from Brazil is aimed at diversifying Indonesia's source of meat imports, he added. Indonesia mainly imports beef or cattle from Australia and New Zealand
