UK-based e-commerce modest fashion company Haute Elan will be hosting the London Modest Fashion Week next month at the Saatchi Gallery, the company said in a statement today.
Held over two days on February 18 and 19, LMFW will show the work of forty designers on the runway. The full list of participating designers will be announced soon, said Haute Elan. For now, the list includes Roddiva, Blancheur, Maslea, and Feradje Official, all of which sell on Haute Elan.
The event will take place during London Fashion Week itself, which runs from February 17 to 21 and is held in multi-venues across the British capital city.
LMFW will also consist of pop-up stores, panel discussions and investor workshops, said Haute Elan.
Haute Elan is aiming for the event to be an annual fixture, but gave no details if it will be a permanent part of LFW.
“London Modest Fashion Week is a new and exciting addition to the London fashion calendar. It will act as an industry catalyst for UK’s fledgling modest fashion industry, bringing into the mainstream highlights of modest fashion – culture and elegance," said Romanna Bint-Abubaker, CEO of Haute Elan.
Attendees will include influential bloggers Dina Tokio and NabillaBee, first H&M model Mariah Idrissi, and media personality Muna AbuSulayman who was announced as Haute Elan's "lifetime partner" last year.
Modest fashion was first featured at LFW in February last year when four Indonesian designers showed their work at the International Fashion Showcase.
