Malaysia's capital market reached 3,244.65 billion ringgit ($783.89 billion) in July 2018, according to data from the Securities Commission. Shariah-compliant assets accounted for 60.57 percent, equivalent to 1,963.31 billion ringgit. This is up 3.7 percent from 1,893.47 billion ringgit at the end of 2017.
The share of Islamic assets in Malaysia's capital market was up 1.17 percent in July compared to the end of 2017.
If Malaysia's Islamic capital market continues to move forward at this rate it may end the year on a positive market share growth for the sector compared to the dips we saw in the last two years.
